Dr. Hess currently serves as the Regional Medical Director for multiple departments in the western United States spanning emergency medicine, hospitalist medicine, and urgent care. He continues to work clinically and currently serves as a chair of Performance Improvement for a Phoenix hospital. He has over a decade of medical director and medical staff leadership experience. Dr. Hess has also held many leadership positions, including Chair of Medicine, Chief of Staff, and various supporting committees.

He received his BS from St. Louis Universty, his MD from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Marcopa Medical Center, and received a Healthcare focused Physician Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee. Throughout his career, Dr. Hess has been a strong supporter of emergency medical systems and was honored by an AEMS Aces of Hearts Award in 2011 as a Base Station Medical Director for PMT ambulance.
